A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with a few of my favourite wedding suppliers to practice the creativity that I preach here on the blog! We created this ‘vintage tea party’ shoot to celebrate a successful first year of business for baker extraordinaire ‘Yummy Little Cakes’ and actually most of the other suppliers too!
We also wanted to provide feminine, quirky and very ‘English’ bridal shower inspiration and I’m thrilled with the results, it’s pretty, homemade and full of gorgeous details!
Natalie set up Yummy Little Cakes after having her second child and in need of a change from working in retail. She loved baking so started creating special birthday cakes for her kids, friends, family… perfecting the ‘yummy’ part of her business!!
With her secret recipes developed, her style evolved and she took Yummy Little Cakes to market, offering birthday cakes, christenings, events and weddings.
She’s such a sweetie herself, telling me… “Excitement takes over when I am designing a cake for a clients big day and I still feel overwhelmed that I am part of a couple special day!”
This vintage tea party shoot took place at East Bridgford Hill, poignant as it’s the first place Natalie ever exhibited her lovely cakes and where her first wedding was ;-)
Next year is set to be even better for Natalie with new branding by Pocket Typewriter, a new website, a quickly growing portfolio and orders already placed for 2012 and 2013, who knows what I’ll be writing about Yummy Little Cakes next year…?!
