DIY Chalkboard Bunting

Morning all, how are you today?

I made today’s project last week and since then it’s been decorating my office, and distracting me! It looks really cute but man it’s tempting to see how many four letter words I can come up with when I’m staring at my accounts ;-) Ooh ‘cute’… there’s another!

You could use this for your table names, wedding signage or for cute personalised bunting to hold up whilst your having your photo’s taken e.g. ‘just married’ or ‘thank you’ – for the DIY cards afterwards!?

To make it you will need… plywood bunting shapes (I get mine from ebay), chalkboard paint (B&Q), a paint brush and some string.

How to make it…

Start by painting your bunting shapes with chalkboard paint, mine needed two coats, then leave to dry.

To thread the shapes onto the string my top tip is to wrap the end of the string tightly with a small bit of cello-tape! This stops it from fraying as it goes through the little holes and makes it soooo much quicker ;-)

And that my friends is it, super easy one today! Just write on your message…

What do you think? I’m judging the success of each DIY project on how many blog comments it gets so if you like, leave it some love ;-)
