DIY Cards Basket

Hello lovely people,

It’s DIY Tuesday again her on Adore and I have a really simple, rustic and pretty suggestion for your wedding gift tables…

I love clearly labelled gift tables, particularly at weddings where you don’t know many people. They give you something to do in those first few awkward moments when you arrive in your frock and heels, everyone’s drinking and chatting and watching you walk in… You could desperately search for a familiar face and if you’re me probably catch your heel in the grass and go flying…

Or you can pretend you know what you’re doing, locate the gift table to give yourself a few precious moments to find someone you know or at least blend in from the back!

What you’ll need… baskets, paper, glue, scissors, string, sharpie, cello-tape

How to…

Step 1 ~  To make the paper bunting cut out five small rectangles of patterned paper and five manilla ones which are slightly smaller. Cut little triangles out of one end if you like the arrow look then glue them together…

Step 2 ~ Write your letter on them, i.e. “cards” or “gifts” with a sharpie

Step 3 ~ Turn them all over and cello tape each piece to a length of string…

Step 4 ~ Now stack up some baskets, pin the bunting in place and just decorate with a jar of flowers…

I’d love to hear how you’re decorating your card boxes of gift tables? Do you have any creative ideas that might help others?!
