Have You Met Laura Babb?

Carrying on my little love affair with London today I have a very talented, lovely lady to tell you about. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know creative photographer Laura Babb over the past year and she’s one wedding supplier I thoroughly recommend adding to your planning list, folder, notebook or spreadsheet!

I’m thrilled to welcome Laura to the Adore team and introduce you to each other…

Tell us about you?

“My name is Laura Babb, the brains (and camera) behind Babb Photo. I have a penchant for red wine, silly dancing and backcombing my hair. Oh and cake.

I adore my friends and family, taking photographs and coffee table books (usually about photography or architecture, but I’ll look at anything with beautiful pictures)

Location and areas covered?

I’m based in Camden, London, but I cover the whole of the UK and beyond. I don’t charge any additional travel costs for UK mainland bookings.

What services do you offer and what makes your business unique?

I offer wedding, portrait and commercial photography services. As well as photographing weddings I’ve photographed bands, MPs and I’ve also had work featured in exhibitions.

Can you give us an approximate price guide?

2012 prices start at £1250 for 8 hours photography.

I also offer a reduced hours package for late availability bookings or Monday – Thursday bookings.

If I have last minute availability and people are working to a specific budget, I’m always happy to see if I can accommodate them. Especially if they’re planning something really creative!

What three words best describe your brand?

Quirky, beautiful and creative.

Who would be your ideal customer and why?

Laid back, creative couples whose wedding is all about them.

What is your most popular product or package?

My 10 hour package is usually the most popular.

Do you have any crafty hobbies?

If you’d asked me this a year ago I would have said no but I’m actually almost constantly up to my elbows in raffia, as I’m busy crafting things for my own wedding in September.

I’m having a village fete/festival wedding, in a field, with a hog roast and camping. There will be lots of jars and tins with wild flowers, marshmallow toasting and a village fete complete with splat the rat. I can’t wait!”

I’ll be showing you an example of Laura’s work very shortly but for now you can find her listed in the Adore Handpicked Supplier Directory or visit Laura’s website here, and of course say hello on twitter or Facebook ;-)
