Morning, morning. How was your long weekend?
Today’s DIY project (of Unique Bride Magazine fame!) is one of my all time favourites. Here’s hoping it can bring a bit of glamour to windy, grey, Tuesdays everywhere ;-)
To make this you will need… a hard back book, access to a printer, a pencil, a glue gun (or other strong glue), embellishments such as gems / pearls / sequins / buttons / diamante’s, etc.
How to make it…
Step 1 ~ Print out a number to fit the front of your book, I used the font French Script in Word, size 600.
Step 2 ~ Cut out your number carefully then position on the book and draw around it to leave a faint pencil outline
Step 3 ~ Start gluing your embellishments inside the pencil lines, varying the colours, sizes and textures to fill the number in
TOP TIP – if you’re using a glue gun you’ll find strings of glue are left behind. To get rid of these just give the book a quick blow with your hair dryer once it’s finished and watch them disappear!
Step 4 ~ Once you’ve completely filled the number allow to dry then use to add some glamour to your tables.
Of course you could play around with this idea and do words, letters, use different backings or buttons instead of gems?!

Fabulous idea…and so doable. Thanks!
Adorable idea! I could see it with buttons too! Like all the leftover buttons from the clothes you buy and have nothing to do with those buttons. Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely, buttons would look gorgeous!
