How the devil are you? As you know I’ve been taking a break from blogging over the past 6 months and although I’ve decided not to continue with Adore (for a number of reasons) I am plotting a return with a new project!

I’m very excited about it and will be working away behind the scenes over the next few weeks / months until it’s ready to go live. So for now I wondered if you’d like to help me out? I’m doing lots of research and would love to gain your valuable input if you have 5 mins to fill in this quick survey for me?

There’s 10 questions, mostly multiple choice and I’m pretty sure after filling it in you’ll get an idea of what the project is about ;-)

As you may have noticed I’ve been away from the blog for a few weeks… just a few small things like splitting from my partner, working hard in my new(ish) full time job and moving house have been all consuming lately. I’m doing ok actually but I just wanted to let you know why I haven’t been posting much!

Oh my goodness how delicious does this look?! And in those cute little pan dishes… I can just imagine eating this by candle light, with a glass of red wine as part of a romantic date with a gorgeous man. In reality I’m eating chilli at my mum’s but hey a girl can dream!

What’s your favourite nail varnish make / colour? I find Rimmel Pro varnish lasts a good few days without chipping but would love to add some more colours to my range so suggestions appreciated (just add a comment below)!

Anyway, I could talk all day about that amazing week at the Olympics but at least this one I can recreate at home!

Ok it might not look as pretty but it tastes delicious, works for lunch, mid-week dinners and impresses guests if you’re entertaining. Hoorah… I love adding a new fail safe to the repertoire ;-)

Ingredients:

• 250g pack shortcrust pastry, rolled out
• 25g butter
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 2 onions, sliced
• 1 medium potato, peeled, part cooked and sliced
• 2 garlic cloves, crushed
• 2 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
• 140g goat’s cheese, broken into pieces
• 3 eggs
• 200g carton crème fraîche, half fat is fine!

1. Heat oven to 190C
2. Roll out the pastry (I used the pre-rolled stuff) and press into a 23cm loose-bottomed tart tin
3. Chill in the fridge for half an hour then line with greaseproof paper, baking beans and bake for 15 mins.
4. (Whilst the pastry is baking I part-boiled my potato)
5. Remove the paper and beans and give it another 5 mins in the oven just to cook the base through then take out and set aside.
6. Heat the butter and oil in a large frying pan, add the onions, garlic, thyme leaves and potato and cook until golden
7. Add the mix to the pastry case plus the broken up goats cheese and spread out evenly
8. Whisk the eggs and crème fraîche together, season if you want to, then pour into the pastry case and bake for 30-35 mins until lightly golden brown and just set in the centre.

How was your weekend? Thanks so much for your patience and lovely comments following my last post. Just a few weeks break to catch up and think was just what I needed and the list making has begun once again!

Printing on tags has got to be useful for all sorts of things but with all the wrapping on the horizon now seems a good time for us to learn ;-) Click here for the tutorial to try at home.

How are you? It’s been a few days since I last wrote a blog post, maybe it’s the weather, oh alright… I’m still mourning the loss of The Great British Bakeoff, aren’t we all?!

Well that and I’m now working full time, did I tell you? Although I’m enjoying it (still within digital media) the trouble is I’m now out of the house and away from you guys for at least 13 hours a day!

Add a bad dose of flu over the past few weeks and you know, actual everyday life and to be really honest I feel like I’ve lost my blogging mojo. Although I love Adore I’m starting to question if it’s worth it?

Maybe I just need a bit of me time but with my spare 10 minutes here and there I really want to bake, make, relax and play with the pugs ;-) If I can’t do that of course it’s hard to write interesting content.

So that’s me. What’s going on with you?
